Panasonic Energy India Company Limited, established in the year 1972 as Lakhanpal National Limited, is one of India’s largest manufacturer of dry cell batteries and lighting products. Headquartered in Vadodara (Gujarat), Panasonic Energy India is a part of Global Panasonic Corporation, world’s leading manufacturer of audio-visual equipments, home appliances, electronic components, automotive electronics and environmental systems.

History

The foundation of Panasonic Energy India was laid by Late Mr. D. D. Lakhanpal and Mr. Konusuke Matsushita on 15th August 1972 at G. I. D. C., Vadodara. Established by the efforts of Former Prime Minister Late Mrs. Indira Gandhi and Konusuke Matshushita, this Dry cell battery manufacturing unit was formed to meet the escalating needs of power and energy in India. The Company has two manufacturing units, one in Vadodara, which commenced its operations in 1972 and another at Pithampur (Madhya Pradesh) that started manufacturing batteries in 1989.

The Company has an established and wide distribution network that includes 2 manufacturing units, distribution centers, numerous stockists and thousands of retailers across the nation.

Quality

Quality is of prime importance at Panasonic Energy India. Panasonic batteries undergo a stringent three-step Quality check before reaching the market. The Production Department, Quality Control Department and Quality Assurance Department assure the overall quality and performance of the battery.

In-house manufacturing of Raw materials and automated quality check ensure that Panasonic Dry batteries are leak proof, safe and offer consistent performance.

Dealers’ in-shop Activity, DISHA, is an innovative step building a strong association with our retailers and stockists. With Disha, Retailers are supported with In-shop Merchandising and prompt services, which include timely delivery of goods, claim settlements and handling customer feedback.
